Job Description
db Group, Malta’s leader in Hospitality & Leisure sector. The group is distinguished and well-established in the hospitality sector with its own branded db Seabank Resort and db San Antonio Hotel.
We are currently looking for a Painter to join our projects team and be part of our latest expansion and upcoming project in St. George’s Bay, Malta. An exceptionally designed and built destination that includes a 5* Hard Rock Hotel, luxury homes, renowned restaurants and an upscale shopping mall that is set to add tremendous value to the local area.
Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Painter to paint the interior and exterior of structures, buildings and other surfaces.
Responsibilities:
Make on-site preparations such as building scaffolding, covering fixtures etc.
Prepare walls and other surfaces for painting by scraping, buffing, sanding, remove old paint, etc.
Fill cracks, holes and repair defects with appropriate material (e.g. plaster, sealer).
Mix paint and other materials to prepare the right color or texture.
Paint surfaces according to instructions with various tools.
Apply coatings and other finishes as needed.
Install and repair gypsum partitions.
Do touch up works as needed.
Calculate costs and negotiate prices.
Take and adhere to all health and safety precautions.
Job Requirements
Proven experience as a painter.
Excellent knowledge of painting material and how to select, mix and apply them.
Solid knowledge of commercial and/or construction painting techniques.
Aptitude in using appropriate tools (brushes, caulking guns etc.).
Good basic math skills.
Manual dexterity with excellent balance to work at heights on scaffolding, ladders etc.
Conscientious with great attention to detail.
Knowledge of building regulations and codes to be adhered to.
